Buying a car can be an exciting experience that can quickly turn sour if you do not know what you are doing. Hungry dealers will take advantage and suck you into accepting seemingly innocent but ridiculous deals. Wanting to save myself the headache of going to a dealership, I decided to search online and found my way to eBay. Honestly, before I came to the decision to settle on eBay, I worked my way through cars.com, auto-trader, carmax and several other online car sales sites.I decided to turn to eBay.

Why eBay?

I had conducted various transactions on eBay before that were frustration- free, no hassle or crazy fees and just generally convenient to do business again as well as access to cards throughout the country.

Here's how you can successfully buy your dream car on eBay

1. Head over to eBay.com

The search bar makes it easy to type in the type of car you are looking for however to make things easier, go to Shop by Category and select Motors- Cars & Trucks.

2. Auction Style or Buy it Now..

Determine whether you are interested in purchasing a car through the eBay Auction or you will chose the Buy-it now option.

Auction style requires you to place a bid on the car and most likely battle it out with other bidders to win the to bid. At any point in time you could have buyers from allover the continental U.S or International vying for a particular car. Do not bid more than your price point. No matter what, be firm. stand firm.

Buy- it -Now gives you the freedom to commit to buying the car. Once you have clicked the buy it now button, be ready to pay a required deposit and converse with the seller to collect your car.

3. Vet Seller

check reviews, email last buyers if possible, check their reviews. Ask 1 million questions, Ask for pictures, certification

4. Run a Free Vin Number check on the car

5. Get a Loan from your local Credit Union or Bank and secure.

6. Check in hgand

7. Go to location to see the car, I retained a local independent mechanic. Minor fee in the grand scheme of things

8. Car turned out to be as great as i thought. Drove back to my state with it. Shopping is approx. $400 and can take you to 3 months. Didn't trust anyone to bring it home but me so I drove back home in my brand new Benz.
